9.5 in, 4 in wide bowl | Stainless Steel | Produced in Niigata, the cradle of the Japanese metalware region
Designed by Sori Yanagi, one of the most legendary masters of industrial design, akin to Charles and Ray Eames and Arnie Jacobsen. Yanagi is considered to be one of Japan's most influential product designers and the leader of the post-war industrial design movement in Japan. Credited as the father of Japanese modern design, Yanagi's bent plywood stool, the "BUTTERFLY STOOL", which was designed in 1956, is currently part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Yanagi personally tested each design and was meticulous, resulting in long prototyping. All products are made in Niigata, the cradle of Japanese metalware.
